ATM10, RLCraft, Better MC: choosing the right modpack
21 août 2026
Hundreds of modpacks exist on CurseForge and Modrinth, but a handful come up over and over in requests. Here's how to navigate them by play style — see the full list with RAM requirements on our modpacks page.
You want a bit of everything — All the Mods 10 (ATM10)
The ultimate kitchen-sink pack: tech, magic, exploration, automation, it's all there. Built for long-term progression (several months of regular play), with no imposed direction — you pick the branch that interests you. Needs 8 GB RAM minimum, matches the Diamond plan.
You want a real challenge — RLCraft
A well-earned reputation: stronger monsters, harsher hunger and thirst, survival mechanics stacked on top of each other. Not recommended as an introduction to modpacks — more for players who already know the base game well and want a genuine challenge. 6 GB minimum (Gold plan).
You like vanilla but want more — Better Minecraft
Doesn't reinvent the game: enriches it. New biomes, structures, building options, without distorting the base experience or imposing scripted progression. A good compromise for a community used to vanilla that wants more content without relearning everything. 6 GB minimum.
You want a story — Prominence II
RPG/adventure with a real scripted storyline, quests, and guided progression rather than an open sandbox. For groups who prefer a clear objective over setting their own goals. 8 GB minimum.
You like automation — Create: Above and Beyond
Centered on the Create mod (mechanisms, contraptions, trains) with real engineering depth. Slower pace than average, built to last — perfect for a server that will run for months with the same group. 6 GB minimum.
You want hack-'n'-slash — Vault Hunters
Procedural dungeons, random loot, a gameplay loop close to a classic ARPG. Works well solo or with friends, and short sessions are possible unlike long-progression modpacks. 8 GB minimum.
Your modpack isn't on this list?
The panel accepts any CurseForge or Modrinth modpack via direct import of its manifest file — no need for it to be on a preconfigured list. Check our article oncalculating the RAM you need to estimate the right plan if your chosen modpack doesn't publish its own recommendations.
