Cancelling your plan

You can cancel a plan yourself, at any time, from the client area — no reason needed and no need to contact support.

Before cancelling: get your world back

Create a backup, then download it from your server's Backups tab (see backups), or fetch your files over SFTP. Once the server is deleted, nothing can be restored, backups included.

Cancel

  1. Open Billing → My plans.
  2. Click Cancel next to the plan.
  3. Tell us why you're leaving if you wish (optional), and tick the confirmation box.
  4. Click Cancel permanently.

The plan then shows Cancellation requested, and you receive an acknowledgement by email.

When the cancellation takes effect

  • Active, paid plan: you keep your server until the end of the period you already paid for — the date is shown on confirmation. No new invoice is issued; at the due date the server isn't renewed, and it is stopped (suspended) two days later.
  • Order never paid, suspended plan or due date already passed: there is no period left to honour, so the cancellation is immediate and the server is deleted along with its backups.

After the due date, consider the server gone: it may be deleted, with its backups, without further notice. Don't wait until then to get your world back.

Invoices and refunds

Invoices already issued remain available, and cancelling doesn't trigger an automatic refund. A refund within 48 hours of ordering is still possible on request (see the Terms of Sale).

Special cases

  • A plan that can't be cancelled from the client area (free or non-renewing plan): write to us at contact@rmdc.cloud.
  • Leaving for good? My account → Delete my account deletes your servers, their backups and your account; your invoices are kept for ten years, as required by law.
  • What happens to an unpaid invoice without cancelling: see invoices, due dates and suspension.
